It started out as a lovey dovey Czech wedding party before turning into a fight, complete with bruises.
"The bride and the groom attacked each other," said police spokeswoman Jana Mazourova.
"They were both drunk, and they both ended up with bruises."
The incident between the 31-year- old bride and the 22-year-old groom happened in Havlickuv Brod, about 100 kilometers southeast of Prague.
"The bride, who refused a breathalyzer test, ended up in a drunk tank," said Mazourova. "The police were afraid she would keep attacking her husband."
The couple are facing a fine over the incident, which is considered a minor offense.
Mazourova said has no information about whether the couple will divorce.
